Kearsney Parks provides free rucksack hire for schools & groups to support the teaching activities here at the Parks.

The rucksacks contain equipment for teachers and pupils to use, such as compasses, measuring wheels and fishing nets. Please see the information for each individual rucksack, including their contents and the associated activities for which they are suitable.

How to hire

  • To book out the rucksacks, please email us using the email address shown.
  • We recommend to notify us as far in advance as possible, to ensure that we can reserve the rucksacks for you.
  • Please indicate:
    • the date and time that you require these, and
    • Which rucksacks you require and the quantity
  • We will then arrange for you to collect the rucksacks at the Parks.

Polite notice

  • When you return the rucksacks, can you please ensure that all equipment and resources are returned to their correct rucksack, so that they are ready for the next school to use.
  • We'd be grateful if you could let us know about any breakages or missing items so that we can get the rucksacks ready for future groups.
