Private Event Hire

Set in the beautiful surrounding of Kearsney Abbey the Billiards Room’s beautiful wood panelled walls and vaulted ceiling the room adds a relaxing and beautiful setting for any event looking across the park to the lake. A perfect mixture of period features and modern facilities.

The Billiards Room is now available to hire for private events, weddings ceremonies, meetings, exhibitions and other events.

We are unable to offer hire on occasional dates due to the high use of the park and café. This includes the Easter weekend and school summer holidays and bank holidays. Please do contact for more details.

The Billiards Room has a varying capacity depending on your room lay out and event requirements. Please see the below for our recommended layout and capacities.

Large round tables 40 people (suitable for formal formal occasions and wedding receptions)

Informal seating at small round tables 25 (suitable for intimate occasions, wakes and relaxed gatherings)

Other layouts can be discussed to suit your requirements.

Our maximum capacity is 40 people. A booking requires a minimum of 15 people.

Hire fees up to end of March 2026 (prices from April 2026 available on request)

• Day Hire: 8:00 to 17:00 - £280
• Half Day Hire: 8:00 to 12:30 or 12:30 to 17:00 - £170
• Whole Day (up to 22:00): £400
• Hourly Hire: £55.00 (minimum of 3 hours required)

Wedding Hire

• Ceremony Only Hire*: £280.00
• Wedding Full Day Hire, 08:00 to 22:00: £400 (including ceremony hire**)

*Fee for venue hire only and does not include the KCC registrars fees (payable directly to them).

** Required for all weddings that include a reception and catering.

All food is prepared and made freshly on site by Kearsney Café. Menus are designed to offer the highest quality food to compliment your event and the surroundings.

We offer a range of menus including afternoon tea, cold fork buffets, grazing tables and finger buffets. We regret that we are unable to offer formal sit down menus.

Please note external food or drink should not be brought in or consumed on site with the exception of a celebration cake (must be prior agreement). The cafe operates a no nuts policy.
